Slowly, he thumbed the green button on the remote, and the small motor hummed to life. For two long breaths nothing moved above the expectant, silent Saturday crowd. Then the spacecraft darted sideways, performed an abrupt spiral maneuver, and sprayed harmless glitter through the air. Children gasped at the sparkling cloud, then laughter burst above them like fresh popcorn. Noah’s hand jerked while he searched the remote display, finally tapping the override button. The vehicle slowed, straightened, and glided along the remainder of the track before landing in a padded net.
