English 原文
Lina slipped through the gap in the park fence and followed a narrow, leaf-strewn path that widened into a sunlit glade. Dandelion clocks trembled above short grass, and a low wall of shattered glass winked beyond the trunks. The derelict greenhouse stood there, its iron ribs striped with rust and lichen. Where panes had vanished, vines drooped inside like ropes, turning the shell into half-garden, half-ruin. Soft morning light fingered the interior, painting uneven puddles over cracked tiles and a stone basin carved to resemble a placid buffalo. Damp air brushed her face; the breeze carried a layered fragrance of moss, warm earth, and something sweeter hiding deeper among the leaves. Near the door, a broken window still held shards bright as turquoise beads. Each late morning, Lina had noticed, sunlight slid across those shards and scattered coloured latticework onto the floor. Capturing that brief pattern would complete the set of watercolours waiting in her satchel. She pushed the warped door; the latch resisted, then gave with a dry pop, and she stepped inside.
She placed a lidded jar of rinse water on the rim of the buffalo basin, balanced her sketchbook on a bench, and tested the light. A gust threaded through the missing panes, rattling ivy and coaxing a low whistle from the roof. The jar wobbled. Lina lunged; her palm slapped the lid just as it began to slide. Water still sloshed over, splattering turquoise ripples across the buffalo’s stony shoulder. The spill coursed onto the floor, seeping beneath a tile already lifted by roots. She crouched to blot the puddle with a folded rag; her knee pressed the raised edge, and the tile rocked aside, exposing a shallow cavity. Eyebrows arched, she eased the piece out. A dented biscuit tin waited in the hollow, its enamel speckled with rust the colour of autumn. Fingertips worked the clasp until it creaked open. Inside lay brittle paper layered around dozens of pressed meadow blooms. Even after untold seasons, faint colour clung to several petals, and a muted fragrance, half herbal, half sugary, drifted upward. Another breeze slipped in, catching loosened petals; they spiralled toward the rafters, glowing where light struck them. For an instant the entire greenhouse resembled a summer glade trapped beneath glass.
Lina slid the tin onto the bench and nudged the tile farther aside, leaving the hidden space visible. Gusts faded, and vines stilled against the frame. Dust settled in lazy coils through narrow sunbeams, while colour from the broken shards inched across the floor toward the flowers. Under the silent roof, scattered petals rested beside the tin.
