Warm light fell across the empty desks. Mina stayed in the classroom because her drawing homework needed color. She wanted blue mountains and a bright red boat. Blue water splashed over the floor and mixed with red. Dots flew onto her shirt; her hands froze in air. The spill raced along a fallen sheet, making swirling shapes.
