Rainbow Inside the Crack-

English 原文
Morning lights blinked on inside the coastal aquarium’s empty hall. Marco guided a padded cart toward a raised platform while Lila walked beside him, balancing a rolled cable on her shoulder. A thin mist still hovered after the filtration system’s night cycle, softening every outline. At the platform’s center waited a steel ring meant to cradle a tall glass cylinder. Inside that cylinder, once it was settled, a silver dolphin would revolve among dazzling blue LEDs, turning the new exhibit into a slow whirl of reflected water shapes.
Together they tipped the cylinder upright. Marco bent his knees and pushed while Lila steadied the rim; their hands moved with the familiarity of people who had lifted awkward objects many times. The panel’s weight disagreed on the first try—the base scraped, tilted, and stayed half a finger short of its groove. Marco’s palms slid on moist glass, and he pulled back, wiping them on his jacket. Condensation trickled downward, leaving clear streaks. On their second attempt the edge touched steel with a muffled click, yet a soft pop followed. A hairline fracture zipped from the rim to midway down the pane, as thin and pale as a strand of fishing line. Both pairs of shoulders locked for a heartbeat, the crack quietly spreading in front of them while the hall ventilation hummed without concern.
Before either spoke, the timer on the lighting rig completed its cycle. White beams struck the cylinder, bounced against the mist, then caught the new fracture. Light scattered in angled shards, painting drifting ribbons of color across floor tiles and onto Lila’s sleeve. The flaw shimmered like a prism, masking itself as decoration rather than damage. Marco braced the glass, and Lila twisted the heavy cylinder so the crack slid behind a support column. Their movements fell back into practiced rhythm; cables straightened, clamps tightened, and the motor under the ring began its slow turn. A miniature current formed inside, guiding the silver dolphin past the fractured pane in an even glide. The glass cylinder stood in the hall, fine mist still drifting around its shimmering line.
