They planned to cover every side, then attach an LED before walking the path as the sky dimmed. Spare tissue, paste pots, and scissors still filled the long tables, so their goal seemed easy and no one hurried them. Behind them, music drifted from a small speaker, its bass rolling like a distant thunderstorm under the brighter flute melody.

By the time Wren reached for another sheet, most wider pieces had been taken, leaving only narrow ribbons on the tray. A sudden influx of families crowded the table; the lull they had enjoyed vanished, and elbows brushed theirs at every move. Hana raised one eyebrow, then trimmed a scrap, deciding to suspend it across the last open point instead of searching farther. The pair had planned five perfect points, yet the missing sheet meant the star would glow unevenly against the coming dark. Accepting the change, Wren pressed the wet patch firmly; paste oozed through the mesh and cooled like mud between his nails.

Twilight draped the winding trail when they finally left the craft station, lanterns already suspended between branches guiding slow-moving visitors.
