She chose the rings and left the pages moving like pale flags beside her knee. The practiced wrist-rotation returned, slower now, skimming just above the lens. Coral stains re-emerged in surprising order: a cracked ridge of once-orange skeleton revealed mossy green where new polyps spread, and a plate coral’s peeled surface flashed silver under slanting sun. When the tide stilled again, Prue raised the viewer to shoulder height.
