Hector lifted one group of threads again, and a clear gap opened across the frame. Mae set the shuttle at the near edge; Hector drew it through the gap. The beater pressed the new row against the cloth, and the shuttle began to glide. "Your blue makes little windows," he said, while her fingers smoothed the woven edge. An unexpected slackness reached the grid, and the shuttle bumped a hanging thread. A small loop showed near the front, and the bar stood close to catching it.
