Glass Jar Shrinks Under Sunlight- 適合初學者的英語短篇故事

Warm sand rests under my feet. A clear glass jar stands on gritty ground. Bright sun presses on its side. The paper inside turns pale. A crackle comes as dry air lifts one corner. Tiny grains slide inside. They form a slow recipe of salt and light. A sharp gull call cuts the quiet. Waves hiss. Morning light spreads across the sand.

Near the jar, a thick root of driftwood darkens. Cool tide water laps the wood. The fibers fray and curl away. A faint sea smell drifts upward. I look back at the jar. The paper shrinks smaller, almost gone. Only blank glass stays. One pearl of sand rolls inside. Wet sand shows under the fading shape. Foam pops nearby.
