A thin flow blocks the path.

Water moves from the lake.

Milo steps on a stone.

He crosses without wet shoes.

Near the stone lies a mask.

Black straps drip cold water.

The surface of it is damp.

Milo walks a little farther.

He spots large flat prints.

Each print tilts like a diver fin.

The prints glimmer with fresh water.

Soon a blue sailor cap appears.

It rests on a wet rock.

Tiny drops slide from the cap.

All three traces share damp shine.

Milo looks at the quiet pier.

Water near the pier stays still.
