English 原文
Morning light filled the busy market street. A gray pigeon flapped down near a bread stall. The vendor turned dough beside a small brick oven. A golden crumb lay beyond a narrow gutter. A thin wooden bridge stretched over the shallow gap. A round metal pan blocked the bridge beside the stall. The pigeon hopped onto the bridge and pushed the pan. The pan stayed completely still on the narrow bridge. The crumb remained just beyond the gutter.
The pigeon pecked the pan and heard a hollow ring. The clear sound echoed under the metal lid. The pan held only air inside. The bird tilted its head, and the pan began to list. The light body of the pan slid toward the stall. It bumped a stack of plates. The plates knocked a cloth bag, and grain spilled out. Crumbs rolled over the bridge and onto the street stones. The vendor read a folded menu and missed the mess. The pigeon stepped through the crumbs and grabbed one. It beat its wings and lifted above the stall roof. A loose spoon tapped the stall leg again.
