A larger gap sits ahead. She leans toward the crack. A tiny corner shop appears. Shelves rise like little stairs. Colored boxes form idea shapes. One box tips and slides. Nothing breaks, but dust drifts. Bea listens as sounds fade. She moves to the gate. Through iron bars, cars glide. People carry bags and talk. No fence blocks this view. The wide street stays calm.
