When a Water Drop Shifted the Postcard Tram -

Nội dung truyện
English Bản gốc
Larkin stood at the waist-high table by the window in the quiet corner. Astrid sat within reach, her hands resting near a small notebook and sorting trays. The wood edge felt cool under his forearms, and a faint paper smell hung nearby. He set a pebble, a feather, and a leaf on the shallow dish. Then he began to organize the windowsill things into little groups on the trays. The pebble rolled once, and his finger met its rough side and stopped it. He lifted the hand lens and lowered his head until the pebble filled his view.
Next, he poured clean water into the glass dish and slid the leaf inside. Cold reached his fingertip, and a thin push from the water nudged the stem. He let the leaf rest in one corner, where the veins stayed still for looking. From the sill, he took a city postcard that showed a tram beside a billboard. He drew the postcard under the lens and watched tiny dots form lines and faces. The paper made a dry whisper as he shifted it closer to the dish. A clear drop slipped from his knuckle and sat on the tram roof like a bead. Through the lens, the tram bent inside the drop and slid with his breath. Astrid leaned nearer, her sleeve brushing the table, and her mouth opened in a small O. He grinned and tipped the card a little, and the tiny roof glided again. He lifted the postcard to the windowsill to dry and watched one bright bead cling.
Bản dịch

Role Play - The Tiny Bead on the Tram
請學生輪流扮演 Larkin(正在用放大鏡和明信片觀察水珠裡的小電車)和 Astrid(靠近觀看、被小動作和聲音吸引)。
- •“Watch this—I'll tip the postcard a little and the tram on the bead will slide.”
- •“Oh—look! The tram bends inside the drop. How did you make it move?”
Creative Writing - Astrid's Side Moment

Cultural Connection -
