A boy carries apples outside. He walks toward a garden table. Bright sky stretches above the yard. Bright clouds drift across the sky. Soft wind moves through short grass. Shifting shadows move over the grass. He counts the apples, only five. A sudden gust lifts his hat. The hat drops onto the grass. Apples scatter near the moving hat. He kneels and gathers each apple. He places them inside the hat. The hat now holds six apples. One small green apple hides underneath. His eyes widen at the extra apple. He sets six apples on the table. The hat rests beside the fruit.
