The sun is warm. Sam holds one small coin. He walks into the village market. Wooden stalls stand in long rows. An ice cream cart is ahead. A striped cover hangs above cones. But the cart window stays closed. Sam waits beside a fruit basket. A red apple rolls onto ground. He picks up the apple softly. The cart window opens with a click. The vendor starts work at last. Sam sets the apple on counter. The vendor smiles and hands ice cream. Sam places coin on the counter. Vanilla swirls rise above cold cup. The ice cream stays cold.
