English 原文
Cool air touched Robin's cheeks, and the faint smell of engine oil drifted near the workbench. He lifted an old camping lantern that had slept through winter. His plan was simple: rekindle its soft glow for the first spring evening. The first visible obstacle appeared almost immediately before him. The fuel cap refused to budge; rust locked it like a clamp. Robin pressed harder, the tool slipped, and dust puffed from the metal. A youngster from next door leaned through the doorway, watching without a word, curiosity blinking in wide eyes.
As Robin wiped his palms, the child’s elbow nudged a tiny oil can. It rolled, leaving a bright line that reached the stubborn cap. Slow oil seeped into the tight metal thread. Moments later, the cap turned with a short scrape. Robin grinned and fetched a fresh wick that had been hiding beneath cracked newspapers. He carefully slid it inside the clear glass chamber. One match later, a small blaze curled upward, beating against a gust that swung the shed door. He blocked the wind with his shoulder; the light steadied. The golden beam fell on the back wall, exposing pencil marks that measured his height each year. Robin raised both arms, a silent victor in the dusty shed, while the lantern kept shining.
