Soft afternoon light rested on the wide vegetable beds.

Maya carried a bright ribbon across the community garden path. Neighbors would participate in an evening concert beside the lettuce rows. The ribbon marked the place for the visiting street musician. Maya climbed a wooden box to reach the metal arch. The box sat on uneven soil and rocked to one side. She waved her arms to balance, but the ribbon slipped away. It fell, brushed a watering can, and pushed the handle down.

Water poured out, soaked the soil, and lowered the can's level. The stream hit a tin tray, which clanged like a small gong. A musician tuned his guitar nearby and turned at the sharp sound. He tapped the can gently; fresh notes echoed mindfully through the rows. Children stopped, listened, and added claps, turning accident into lively rhythm today. Maya laughed, lifted the wet ribbon, and tied it below the arch. The can kept dripping, while gentle music floated over the fresh mud.
