Beyond the ticket dispenser, the dotted imprint curved into the side corridor. Grant followed, rhythm of fluorescent buzz overhead matching his steps. After three strides, the pattern broke; the next tile showed only a faint crescent. He squatted, tipped his head, and rubbed the surface with the side of the bamboo pen. The mark lightened but did not vanish.
