What's Behind the Plank?-

English 原文
Afternoon light fell across the small garden shed.
Soft land behind the shed stayed damp after rain.
Lily wanted the old wooden door to swing open.
A loose plank blocked the frame and refused to move.
She pushed hard with both hands, yet the door stayed firm.
Her shoes slipped on dry leaves during the first try.
She paused and tapped the plank with her knuckles.
The sound came hollow, not solid like the other boards.
Lily ran a finger along the edge and felt a gap.
She grabbed one corner and slid the plank sideways.
Nails squeaked but nothing cracked.
The plank dropped onto the floor.
A tall pot from a school sale tipped behind the door.
Soil spilled out with tiny pea seeds already germinating.
A faded shell from a beach trip rolled with the soil.
A postcard from a mountain vacation slid under her foot.
Water from a hanging can landed on the seeds.
The new path cleared, Lily eased the door open at last.
Dry leaves rustled outside the shed.
