Why does the dough stick here?
Xander stands at the counter.
His small hands press dough.
The room is bright.
Steam drifts from a cup.
Soap scent floats near him.
Outside the window, one tree sways.
A slow cloud crosses behind it.
Xander rolls the soft dough.
He coils it like a spring.
The coil slips and flattens.
A white puff leaps upward.
Flour now covers his fingers.
"Here is more flour," the grown-up says.
Xander taps the spoon gently.
The coil keeps its shape now.
A small toy farmer watches silently.
The dough coil rests on parchment.
Nothing in the kitchen moves.
