A duck flaps; small water beads jump.
Tiny drops tap her ankle skin.
Her ankle twitches once then stops.
A paint chip slides from rail.
Her hand rests on the rail.
It touches her open palm softly.
The chip shows a cloudy thought shape.
It slips away with the breeze.
The trough splash now slows.
