A drip slides off the roof.
Ronan stands near the big puddle.
He holds a tiny pebble.
He lets it drop.
A small splash taps the water.
Thin ripples fade fast.
"Too soft," Ronan says.
The air is cool.
Ronan lifts a flat stone.
He drops it again.
A wider splash rings out.
Mud dots his boot.
Ripples roll but stop early.
A brown hen clucks by the wall.
Ronan nods at the rake near the fence.
"New plan," he says.
He pushes a heavy round stone.
The rake scrapes the ground.
The stone rolls into the puddle.
The weather stays calm.
Brown water jumps up high.
Leaves spin around the stone.
The grown-up laughs from the step.
A slower drip taps the roof edge.
