The sticker falls and flutters away.
Zeke laughs and folds a paper ball.
He makes a gentle throw upward.
The ball bounces toward York's knee.
York keeps still; fabric muffles impact.
The paper ball settles on the sill.
Rain stays steady.
That quiet game now lies finished.
Light dust drifts onto York's shoe.
Another raindrop begins its slow slide.
