Felix stands by the window.
Grey light spreads on desks.
He looks through the glass.
Mist clouds the cold pane.
He rubs a small circle.
A yellow ball bounces outside.
Two children play near puddles.
A bright dream catcher hangs nearby.
Wind swings the woven ring.
Sudden thud shakes the glass.
The yellow ball taps it softly.
Felix steps away from window.
He walks to the open doorway.
He looks into the quiet hallway.
His mother waits with papers.
She waves and mouths hello.
Warm air drifts around her.
A poster flaps near lockers.
Dust turns under pale light.
Felix lifts his hand higher.
The ball still rests outside.
Rain taps the glass again.
