In the mirror, the car is bright.
Wind from the open door moves the paper.
Paper lifts.
In the glass, the car dims.
It slides.
One quick lift hides the mirror.
Glue gives a sweet smell.
The teacher says, "Rain taps the glass."
The wet stroke looks lighter now.
The gloss is small.
A pale rim spreads on the paper.
The edge thins and settles flat.
The mirror shows only desk wood.
The tiny car still sits.
The stroke is almost gone.
The dry paper shows grain.
