A flat beach stick rests nearby.
Gareth taps the stick on sand.
A soft puff rises, drifting.
He presses a smooth shell.
The shell wobbles on driftwood shelf.
Tiny grains slide and clink.
A small puppy trots closer.
The puppy sniffs the blue bucket.
One shell tumbles inside gently.
A quick bark bursts out.
Yara crouches to organize bright shells.
Gareth says, "Funny idea, puppy."
He pats the tide pool surface.
A clear ripple circles outward.
Silver light sways across wet stones.
The nearest stone gleams pale blue now.
