Sam walks into the valley. Lily walks beside him. A blue blanket hangs under Sam's arm. A small basket swings in Lily's hand. Bees buzz over bright flowers. Green leaves spread under their shoes. The air stays warm and calm. They look for flat grass. Soft grass appears near a wide stone. Sam spreads the blanket slowly. The basket rests at the center. Birds glide above the open space.

A round mushroom stands near the stone. Its soft top suddenly cracks open. Fine spores burst into the air. The grey cloud drifts over the blanket. Sam lifts one corner quickly. Lily grips the other edge fast. They shake the cloth two steps away. Spores fall like soft dust. No dust lands on the food. Sam spreads fresh bread on plates. Sweet jam follows in a slow process. Lily points at the calm valley floor. A light breeze carries the last spores away. The blanket is rested flat.
