English 原文
Three low benches ran side by side, each an arm-length apart. A coil of thin hose looped across the middle bench, ending at a small wooden bellows. Beside it lay a glossy magazine on pet care, its pages fluttering whenever a draft slipped through the half-open door. A keen chisel and several scraps of soft paper waited on the last bench.
Zara, still a novice in the workshop, squeezed the bellows once. A short puff inflated a paper pouch she had folded moments ago, and the pouch bobbed in place. She marked a quick hypothesis: a sharper squeeze might lift the pouch higher. The second attempt sent a louder whoosh; the pouch rose, spun, and landed farther along the bench. Warm afternoon light crossed the grain of the tabletop and showed fine dust drifting around the moving pouch.
She tried a third squeeze, angling the nozzle upward. A sudden gust from the door met the rising air and billowed through the magazine, throwing loose wood shavings into the stream. One shaving struck the pouch, and it burst with a soft pop that made the hose whistle. Zara leaned closer to understand the tear, then pressed the bellows again, watching how air escaped through the split seam instead of lifting anything. Shavings continued to swirl between the benches, forming small moving rings under the door’s light.
