She carries a small shovel.
Brown earth waits near her boots.
She digs a short trench.
Clean water sits in a pail.
A blue seed drops inside.
Sunlight lands on her hat.
Birds chirp above the fence.
Small clouds drift across blue sky.
A neighbor cat watches silently.
Anna hums a simple tune.
She covers the trench slowly.
A soft metal clink sounds.
Her shovel hits a bottle.
The glass is smooth and clear.
One word glows on the glass: GLAD.
She opens the small bottle.
Cold water rushes over seeds.
Suddenly a tiny fern rises.
Its leaves spread into green fans.
Anna blinks at the fast growth.
The yard stays quiet now.
