Sam carries a small pot.
He walks to the busy market.
School lesson bell rings nearby.
A soup seller stirs ahead.
Warm smell moves through air.
A wide crowd stands around.
The crowd blocks the stall.
He waits behind many backs.
His pot bumps his knee.
Soup smell drifts past faces.
Sam inches left then right.
The crowd remains very tight.
A small gap opens suddenly.
Sam steps back two steps.
A clean pan hangs nearby.
He lifts the light pan.
Metal taps the wooden bench.
The seller turns toward him.
The seller lifts a ladle.
Steam rises as soup pours.
Soup fills the waiting pan.
Golden drops splash and dance.
Sam swaps pan and pot.
Now the pot holds soup.
Steam stays above the pot.
