Milo stands alone near the pond. He holds a paper boat. Wind is gentle today. Birds chirp above the pond. Soft light shines on water. Reeds move with calm ripples. He lowers the boat to water. A small rock blocks the pond edge. Water circles behind the rock. Milo crouches near the edge. His shoe taps wet ground. Milo moves the boat back.
The rock rolls a little. Sudden mud lifts under it. A frog jumps out and away quickly. A small green bug lands nearby. The jump makes leaves flutter. Ripples spread in bright circles. Water touches the grassy bank. Milo steps back quickly. The boat slips from his hand. It floats on free water. Milo watches the boat drift. Sunlight flashes on the hull. The pond stays quiet now.
