A dozen apples rest inside.
Sunlight forms small bright patches.
He steps toward a stone bench.
One apple bumps the rim.
It drops and rolls away.
The round fruit spins across tiles.
A lazy pigeon watches nearby.
Wind pushes dust behind Leo.
The apple reaches a low gap.
The gap hides dark space.
Leo stops near the bench.
His hand stretches under wood.
Suddenly, the apple taps a shoe.
The shoe belongs to his friend Mia.
Mia stands behind the bench.
She picks the rolling apple gently.
Leo lifts his eyebrows high.
Leaves rustle over the square.
Mia drops the apple into basket.
Her palm adds gentle weight.
The dozen apples sit together again.
Mia waves her hand brightly.
The lazy pigeon flaps away.
Soft dust settles around them.
The basket is stopped now.
