The ground formed a gentle slope toward a blue bucket.

He fixed small nails with a light wooden hammer.

Whenever he struck, the plank shook and tiny ants scattered.

One red ant walked ahead, clear leader of the trail.

Milo smiled and returned to his building job.

A new nail bent under his final strong strike.

The plank tilted left and the ramp shifted sideways.

The marble rolled early, bounced off the bent edge.

It struck a plastic cup full of dry seeds.

Seeds scattered and landed on the wandering ants.

Ant lines broke, but the leader climbed a seed mountain.

Milo watched the tiny drama and laughed, knees bumping upward.

He added a flat stone beside the loose plank.

The ramp stayed steady; the marble traveled straight into the bucket.

Water splashed up and washed scattered seeds toward the grass.

Milo wiped his hands and closed the shed door.
