Kai sits on soft grass.
Light spreads across the yard.
Four toy blocks lie nearby.
Kai lifts the red block.
He places it near his knee.
Kai lifts the blue block.
He lines it beside red.
Kai lifts the green block.
It slips from his fingers.
A dog runs past suddenly.
Paws push the green block away.
Kai crawls and grabs it.
He sets all blocks on stone.
Tomorrow brings more quiet play.
Kai lifts the yellow block.
He adds it to the row.
Now four colors form a line.
All four blocks stopped rolling.
