Ben stands at his gate.

Warm sun touches the street.

He walks forward toward the square.

Tall trees line the narrow road.

The busy city hums nearby.

At the first spot, old bricks lean.

A gorgeous flower grows between bricks.

He nods and keeps walking.

At the second spot, a fountain splashes.

Water sprays across the path.

Spray blocks the way forward.

Ben shifts left around puddles.

A doctor walks by, umbrella high.

Ben steps past the water.

He now reaches the square edge.

He stops and turns around.

He walks back toward home.

At the fountain, a yellow leaf floats.

That leaf is new here.

He keeps walking to the bricks.

A small cat sits on them.

The cat is new too.

Ben reaches his gate again.

A flat stone stays beside his shoe.
