English 原文
Owen reached the playground after art class. His small kite lay beyond a busy fountain path. Tall jets of water lifted every ten seconds then stopped. The flow closed the path during each bright burst. Cool water mist touched his face. A small speaker played, and two children began to dance. Owen watched one full cycle from start to finish. He counted, and the pause lasted six slow seconds. A sheet of clear plastic lay near the bench. He grabbed it and planned a quick dash.
The jets died down, leaving the stones almost dry. During the pause, Owen ran across the narrow region. He snatched the small kite and spun toward home. Water erupted again and hit the plastic in his hands. The sheet acted like a shield, but it bent backward. The force made him fold at the waist and slip. His knee bumped a sculpture of bright plasticine animals nearby. The sculpture rocked, and two tiny rabbits tumbled onto sand. The fountain kept pulsing behind him while he placed rabbits upright. Small wet marks dotted the rabbits, yet the figures stayed whole. He walked away with the kite trailing, water beating the ground.
