Selwyn kneels on wet path.
Morning light is pale yellow.
He sees a flat stone.
A snail trail shines beside.
Small ants circle a crumb.
Their slow ceremony looks neat.
Selwyn lifts the stone edge.
The stone sticks in mud.
An unclear dent marks mud.
Extra effort shakes his arms.
He slides the short stick.
The stick fits under stone.
He presses with careful push.
The stone tips up slowly.
A vague button sits below.
Lines mark the button.
They make an idea sun.
Selwyn says, "Look, a button!"
He places the button in palm.
He sets the stone flat.
The path stays quiet now.
