The Buried Pencil-

English 原文
Warm sand rolls under Max’s palm.
He kneels near the tide pool.
A striped blanket rests beside him.
Light glitters on a silver pencil.
The pencil sticks in wet sand.
Max grasps the thin wooden shaft.
The buried tip refuses to move.
He presses harder and sand resists.
He drags the blanket toward him.
He folds the blanket, pads the grip.
Now his hand holds softer edges.
He twists slowly; the pencil lifts free.
A half-built sand structure leans nearby.
Max adds lines along its side.
The lines look like a lighthouse door.
Small ripples grow around his knees.
Bright morning light stays on the water.
A small crab scuttles between his toes.
Max
Max
