A clear drop starts at the top of the foggy glass. I sit on the cushion and watch. The glass is cold. Colors blur beyond the pane. Light falls in. Rain taps steady on glass.
A girl presses a star sticker on the window. A clear circle forms, then the edge lifts. She takes the cloth and rubs a small circle. The sticker stays flat. "It stays now," she says.
She taps the short pencil on a round lid. Tap tap tap. The lid rattles on the sill. She is a small drummer. Dust flickers in grey light.
A red umbrella crosses the fog circle.
