Cool glue coats Willa’s finger.
She stands at a smooth desk.
Soft grey light fills the room.
Blue solution swirls inside a clear cup.
She dips a soft brush.
Raindrops pound the tall window.
A pale frost patch clings outside the glass.
Willa lays one paper square.
The square slips sideways.
Glue is too wet.
She lifts it again.
She presses from the middle.
The brush handle rattles on wood.
Just then a bumblebee buzzes near the cup.
Its wings hum loud.
The air vibrates.
It hovers.
The insect bumps the cup rim.
Ripples reach the glue line.
Wet colour spreads like tiny branches.
The pattern now looks like frost again.
Willa tilts her head.
“Stay back, friend,” the teacher says.
She waits.
Willa adds another square.
Each neat edge shows quiet thought.
The snowflake shape holds steady.
Bright paint dots dry on the desk.
