He walks to the yard sink.
Today is a simple task.
He moves to wash the cloth.
Water runs from the shiny tap.
A bright plant stands beside him.
Leaves move under the stream mist.
A curious dog trots closer.
The dog sniffs the dripping cloth.
Sam keeps the cloth under water.
Suddenly the dog grabs the cloth.
Water sprays and coats his shirt.
Sam steps back, eyes wide.
The cloth slaps the bright plant.
Flowers shake and shower cool drops.
A small key slides from soil.
Sam blinks at the shiny key.
The dog sits and tilts head.
Water slows around their quiet shoes.
The garden stays still now.
