Leo planned a seaside trip for holiday. Morning light covered the small station café near the bus stop. He ordered juice and waited by door. A waiter passed him, balancing cups on a silver tray. Leo checked the station clock and counted four calm minutes. Horn noise outside broke the quiet. His train arrived earlier than the schedule board announced yesterday. He swung his bag and hurried out. The strap hooked a chair leg and pulled it sideways. The chair bumped the waiter, tray tilted. Glasses slid, juice splashed, and bright drops covered the floor.

Leo sidestepped the spreading puddle and offered quick apologies. Another passenger near the door lifted a suitcase just in time. Space opened, and Leo dashed across the tiled hallway. Stairs rose sharply toward platform three above the ticket booths. His shoes clicked, breath shortened, but the train doors stayed wide. His chest thumped while he stepped toward a window seat. Outside, the waiter still mopped the café floor with towels. Metal wheels clanked, and the carriages rolled past the platform edge. The train carried Leo toward blue water and fresh salty wind. Clouds shifted slowly above the moving roof. He closed the small train window.
