Mia holds one bright flower.
She walks to the glass table.
A large vase waits near center.
Clear water shines inside it.
Mia moves toward the vase.
Her steps tap on smooth floor.
A small cup stands beside vase.
Cold ice floats inside the cup.
The glass table is mirror bright.
Cup reflection hides exact edge.
Mia reaches and nudges the cup.
The cup slides and wobbles suddenly.
One ice cube slides toward table.
Mia shifts her hand quickly.
She catches the drifting ice.
She drops it back into cup.
Space clears for the flower.
Mia places the flower inside.
Petals touch water and settle.
Soft rings ripple, then fade.
Everything stays still again.
