Cool glass chills Yvette's palm.
She presses for a clear patch.
The window fog hides the hill.
A tall lighthouse stands on it.
Grey rain blurs the shape.
Rain taps.
She wipes with one finger.
Glass mists.
She grabs the dry cloth.
She rubs a wider circle.
Vapour crawls over the glass.
She dots little spots around.
Bright holes join to a ring.
Kent watches from the cushion.
"Look," he says.
He lifts a short pencil.
The young artist sketches the lighthouse.
Coloured lines stay on the paper.
Yvette peers through the fresh gap.
A narrow street runs below.
Water beads race down cars.
Soft light glows on wet roofs.
A quick shape moves outside.
A brown deer splashes across the wet street.
