Quick Birdhouse-

English 原文
Late summer sun shone over the yard.
Warm light touched the wooden table.
Milo, a young engineer, checked his project.
He planned a birdhouse from light pine pieces.
He wanted the glue to dry.
The dinner bell would ring soon.
A sudden gust rushed across the yard and flipped the table.
Wood slid, nails scattered, and the roof panel fell off.
The roof panel rolled toward a shallow garden pond.
Milo sprang forward, but his foot bumped a paint can.
Blue paint splashed and spotted the short grass.
He grabbed a long stick that leaned against the shed wall.
The stick reached the panel and nudged it back to land.
Thin walls lacked resilience against water, yet the wood stayed solid.
Milo placed the roof, tapped the nails, and breathed out.
A chickadee fluttered near, slipped inside, and settled on the perch.
Milo stepped back and closed the garden gate.
